Eh? It is available on any Unix machine that I've ever used and I believe
there are implementations for MeSs-DOS and the Mac (Stuffit will read it).
The file format is documented in uuencode(5).

/usr/ucb/mail does precisely what I need it to and it does it with a minimum
of overhead and silly lead-me-by-the-hand menus. If I do ever change, it'll be
to rmail -- that way I'll never have to leave emacs ever again. :-)
