Hi,
I have discovered XForms as a means of creating XWindow applications and am
thoroughly impressed.
I need some help to figure out how I go about creating a custom color
palette for viewing images in
a canvas. I've got my image in an XImage structure and it works fine on a
24 bit color display. I can't
seem to figure out how to change the system palette so I can view the image
correctly on an 8-bit
color display. I realize I've got to same some "basic system" colors for
window decorations and buttons.
but I'm not having any luck with the fl_mapcolor routines....
My images are 1024 color grayscale which I can compress down to 256 or less
colors. I'd like to use
as many colors as possible to view the image.
Does anyone have any example code I could view to see how to create a
custom colormap?
