Hi xsqlmenu users,
This may be interesting for all users of xsqlmenu: In the new Msql2 the
primary key mechanism was abandoned. As xsqlmenu heavily relied on this,
this made xsqlmenu useless with Msql2.
For that reason I have tried to upgrade the package, both for the new Msql-2
and for the new Xforms 0.84 distribution (horizontal scrollbars !).
Note that he new version uses the first fieldname in the first unique index
as the "prirmary key" now. So, you always have to issue a command like:
CREATE UNIQUE INDEX idx1 ON table(keyfield) \g
before you'll be able to use the new xsqlmenu on your converted database.
A testversion (consider it to be ALPHA !), only tested thusfar on HPUX 10 is
available from the FTP site below.
If you are interested: pick it up and tell me about any bugs you find and
I'll try to fix them as soon as possible. New features however will have to
wait until I have some more time.
regards,
