Hi all,
I want to intercept the "Enter" key from user input as follows:
In a normal input field the user enters a number. If (s)he
presses the "Enter" key, a database connection proves the number
and returns a DBMS record which is put into the forms fields.
If the number does *not* exist, it should be treated as a new
record of the DBMS. The cursor then shall not leave this field,
because the user may accidentally have mistyped a number and
wants to retry.
I don't want to build up a whole XEvent catching and processing
function. Is there a different way?
Thanks for any hint,
Frank.
