PGPLOT (and cpgplot) is probably the best
package for making postscript plots of your data,
but it's not a dump of what you get with Xforms.
You are also limited to the Hershey fonts with pgplot.

I've put together a postscript plotting library
that gives access to all of the standard postscript
fonts and has most of the 2d functionality of pgplot.
I will be making that library available in the next
few weeks, when I've had time to fix up the documentation.
