Two ideas (none tested, though!):
First, try to group the 'black' keys with fdesign and make sure they
are raised (fl_raise_object(group) I think). The raise could be done
whenever needed.
Second, make the white keys smaller! Let the back part, where the
black keys overlap the white ones, be dummies

! : : ! : : : : ! > This part of white key is a dead rectangle.

Well, as I think about it, the second idea is quite sure not
