Hi,
I guess I was the one who started the whole thing... I think there was a few
good suggestions after all. Someone suggested that fdesign could warn if it
was about to overwrite a file not starting with the /*Source generated by...*/
line. I think that would be great... I will probably avoid overwriting anything
in the future since I got burned but but other people will probably get to
feel the this-can't-be-true feeling. Well, as you said... I wouldn't want
it to request a grade between 1 and 10 of how certain I am that I want to
overwrite or something like that. No Mac-style things, but I think a check
for that remark in the beginning of the file would be a sound, and not too
annoying, way to prevent stuff like this from happening. Well, whatever...
I guess this is not a big deal after all, there are probably things with
much higher priority than this to attend to.
