To subscribers of the xforms list from spl@szechuan.ucsd.edu (Steve Lamont) :

Regarding the -f parameter getting gobbled by fl_initialize(), I did a
further bit of checking and it's an abbreviation of the

-flversion

flag. It *is* documented in section A.1, "Version Information," which
I managed to miss in my first quick reference to the manual. May
apologies to any whom I have confused.

The flag

-xfversion

(or any abbreviation thereof) also produces the XForms version.

Any XForms command line flag may be abbreviated to its shortest unique
abbreviation. Thus, using -f, -fl, -flv, etc., will all cause XForms
to disgorge the version of the library with which the program was built.
