To subscribers of the xforms list from <belcherr@VNET.IBM.COM> (Ronald G. Belcher) :

Xforms newbie, here.

Install seemed to go okay, demo builds okay, but problems trying to run.

1) When in the DEMOS directory, "./demo" brings up the first menu and I
select any one of the buttons.
None of the buttons on the next menu do anything, and there are messages
in the log file complaining that it can't find the xxx command.

2) When in the xforms directory, "./DEMOS/demo" won't run at all, saying
it can't find the menu file.

3) "gcc -lX11 -lforms -lm xhello.c -o xhello" gets a message from ld that
it can't open -lX11. This is the program from the LJ article.

I am running on RedHat 4.2 from an xterm in the X window.

Anybody have any clue what I am doing wrong here? Where to look?

Anybody know how to find out what library path my linker is searching?
