After some use of Forms Designer there are a couple of features I find
unintuitive or irritating.
Unintuitive: double click left to delete! I'd rather see double click left
to get Attributes, and put the delete somewhere safer like double click
right, or SHIFT-right click.
Irritating: having a button object pre-selected on start up (with no
apparent way to deselect it other than to draw the button then delete
it). More often than not I open up fdesign to modify the layout of an
existing form rather than start a brand new one, and my instinct is to
use the mouse to select and drag an object around. The usual result is
I get an unwanted button sitting on top of my form!
Now of course neither of these is a major disadvantage to an
excellent tool, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are folks who
feel strongly that the existing way it works *IS THE RIGHT WAY*, but not
me. So for my wish list I'd like some way to customise the binding of
mouse events to actions within fdesign, and a way to turn off the
preselection of button object.
BUT of course xforms is a GREAT library
