The fixed xyplot postscript output dump (87.4) works well now and
looks good when viewed with ghostscript. I liked it so much I decided
to print out hardcopies! Unfortunately most printers I have access to
flash their busy lights at me for a short while when presented with
such output but produce no paper! This includes Apple LaserWriters
which I take to be a kind of benchmark for postscript Level 1. The
only printer I've had success with was a big HP LJ5Si. (nb this problem
appears with output from the DEMOS - test.ps - as well as my own apps)

I've always resisted the temptation to learn postscript so can't see
whats wrong with the output, but it seems that some interpreters
(genuine Adobe?) are being a little more picky than others (gs, HP's
..) and having trouble with the dumped output. Can anyone check this
out for me?

Ivan
