Yes, this even shows up in `fdesign', so it looks like a live one. It
also seems to occur in normal text input.

To clarify a bit, if you type characters such that the leftmost
characters scroll off the input area, then backspace to delete the
input, the blue bar cursor backspaces beyond the left margin of the
input area.
