Dear William Schmitt,

dear fellow XForms fans,

while I don't have access to a PostScript printer, I really appreciate
the manual being distributed as a PostScript file (I don't have access
to Word or Wordperfect, and above this, I wouldn't want to use these
programs even if I had access to them).

Please look into the installation of Ghostscript on your computer
system. Aladdin Enterprises have generously developed this fine tool and
made it available under very acceptable licensing conditions; it's
availabe both in source code (C) form and compiled for various brands
of computers and operating systems. Ghostscript converts PostScript
files into a vast array of different formats; the default version
compiled on the operating system of my preference, Linux, includes the
following devices ("drivers" for additional devices are available and
can be added during compilation):

Available devices:
x11 x11alpha x11cmyk x11gray2 x11mono deskjet djet500 laserjet ljetplus
ljet2p ljet3 ljet4 cdeskjet cdjcolor cdjmono cdj550 pj pjxl pjxl300
uniprint bj10e bj200 bjc600 bjc800 stcolor faxg3 faxg32d faxg4 pcxmono
pcxgray pcx16 pcx256 pcx24b pcxcmyk pbm pbmraw pgm pgmraw pgnm pgnmraw
pnm pnmraw ppm ppmraw tiffcrle tiffg3 tiffg32d tiffg4 tifflzw tiffpack
tiff12nc tiff24nc psmono psgray bit bitrgb bitcmyk pngmono pnggray png16
png256 png16m jpeg jpeggray pdfwrite pswrite epswrite pxlmono pxlcolor
nullpage

By using PostScript, the authors of the documentation allow for use of
their text on a vast amount of different systems. Were they to use
Word or Wordperfect, many users of XForms would be left without docs...

Best regards,

Ernst
