I posted a message a couple of days ago regarding strange color
changes of the grid and axes in xyplot (using version 0.88). I
thought, erroneously, that this had something to do with memory usage,
but a little more playing around revealed that this is apparently a
"feature" of fl_set_xyplot_data(). I'm trying to plot several data
sets in the same xyplot, each in a different color. I had been
doing this by calling fl_set_xyplot_data() for the first set, and
fl_add_xyplot_overlay for the rest. The problem is that
fl_set_xyplot_data() sets the grid color to match the data-plotting
color. In my application, the color of the first-plotted data set
varies, resulting in unwanted changes in grid color. My workaround
has been to first plot a dummy data set offscale, using the color I
want the grid to be, and then to plot all of the real data sets,
including the first, with fl_add_xyplot_overlay(). But I can't help
but think I must be missing something. Is there another way to
independently control the grid and data colors? If not, then this
would be a very welcome addition in a future version.
