I will be upgrading both sendmail and
majordomo on the xforms list server
today and perhaps for the next few days.
This may cause periodic interruptions to
the xforms list service. Please have patience.
Several spammers have discovered that
this server allows promiscuous relays,
so the level of abuse has been increasing.
The solution is to upgrade sendmail to
8.8.8 or 9.0-beta. Unfortunately, the current
version of majordomo has problems with
these versions, giving the following errors:
from sendmail version 9.0:
From: <majordomo-owner>
To: majordomo-owner
MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_digest)!!
-l: No such file or directory
from sendmail version 8.8.8 "FD"
gets appended either to the recipient name or to the
address:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<FD:listname@some.domain.name>
If anyone has seen these problems before and has any
insight, please let me know.
