    Is the executable statically linked to libforms or dynamically? If
    dynamic, are the permissions on `libforms.so' set correctly so that
    non-root users can get at it?

    If you're using `xauth' or `xhost', make sure that the permissions are
    set properly. Do other X applications work properly?
