Sequence of events / commands:
I started kdevelop and loaded the project file.
B.t.w. kdevelop issues a warning on startup, since I'm not sure
whether this is related to the problem I'm mentioning it here to be on te
safe side:
KCharset: Wrong charset!
KCharset: Wrong charset!
Using filler
Colortype 6 is rgb/alpha
Then I rebuild the project.
I then started xxgdb and opened the newly build executable.
After pressing the run button this resulted in the following:
Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "snow1"
and
Warning: cannot allocate colormap entry for "snow2"
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x40120000 in _XimProtoWireToEvent () from /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6
The stack info I got from xxgdb looks like this:
(xxgdb) info stack
#0 0x40120000 in _XimProtoWireToEvent () from /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6
#1 0x40197f66 in _IO_vfprintf (s=0x4023ffc0, format=0x4007c9f4 "%s%s\n",
ap=0xbffff5f8) at vfprintf.c:1029
#2 0x4019ff47 in fprintf (stream=0x4023ffc0, format=0x4007c9f4 "%s%s\n") at
fprintf.c:32
#3 0x40071a74 in P_errmsg () from /usr/lib/libforms.so.0.88
#4 0x400370a2 in fl_init_colormap () from /usr/lib/libforms.so.0.88
#5 0x4003d217 in fl_initialize () from /usr/lib/libforms.so.0.88
#6 0x80566fc in main (argc=1, argv=0xbffff9e4) at vocode.c:6001
To my surprise I've not been able to replicate the crash with the
same error message that lead me to starting this thread:
SIGSEV in _XKeyTable() in /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6
but the line
#4 0x400370a2 in fl_init_colormap () from /usr/lib/libforms.so.0.88
to me suggests that this one is still related to the initial problem.
Hope this helps.
Greetings,
Zaphod B.
