I am mostly sure that autoconf does something special for at least
config.h. Indeed, I can see:
config.status: creating lib/config.h
config.status: lib/config.h is unchanged
So, can we put AAA.h in AC_CONFIG_HEADERS and put nice #undef for
FL_VERSION and friends? In this case, we should use AC_DEFINE instead
of AC_SUBST for our variables.
It seems strange at first, but I think it should work...
