Clicking on a deactivated form removes the input focus from an input box
on an active form. However, the background of the input that was active
remains unchanged, and the caret still remains on it, providing no visual
queues to the user that the input focus was lost (even more annoying to a
user since they are not expecting clicking on an inactive form to change
anything).
It is most apparent when a full screen form is showing and another smaller
form is on top of it as a dialog box, and the full screen form is
deactivated.
I imagine this is more of an X side-effect than a forms library "bug".
