In summary
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs at subversions.gnu.org:/cvsroot/xforms login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anoncvs at savannah.nongnu.org:/cvsroot/xforms co xforms

Thereafter, shove this in .cvsrc in your home directory:
diff -upN
rdiff -upN
update -dP

and "cvs up" should keep you up-to-date.
