It is probably time you did change to a MIME compatible mail reader! With a
"good" email reader, the attachments are neatly separated from the body of
the mail message, in thumbnails in a separate window. Just click on the
icon and the mailer automatically starts a utility program that is
capable of reading and displaying the attachment...*whatever* its contents.
I thought that the poster's 'GIF' image -- far from being annoying -- nicely
illustrated the point right there without my having to fight mid-day traffic
trying to access a website somewhere or uudecoding anything.
