To subscribers of the xforms list from "Dikoma C. Shungu" <shungu@ultranmr.cpmc.columbia.edu> :

Robert Williams <bob@bob.usuf2.usuhs.mil> recently apologized:

> We're getting a little off topic here (partly my fault).

And then, he went on to philosophize on precisely why this is quite
relevant to this list:

>... this is very much a part of what this list is all about,
> making powerful graphical user interfaces for tools
> many of us have used from the command line for years.

No need to apologize Bob. It is the argument that you offer
above that prompted me to respond. You can see the paradox:
We all admire Steve Lamont (the list's Guru) for his impressive
erudition in all matters related to GUI design, and yet he prefers
to call himself a troglodyte rather than adopt the very sort
of innovation that he is helping us implement through his incisive
comments.

I think it is perfectly ok for posters to send images. It not
only shows us what their particular problem may be, but also gives
us a glimpse of how others are creating GUIs using the FORMS library.

Over and out (probably enough said already. Got a grant proposal to
get out.)
