Oh please do - I was considering providing this very thing in Xforms4Perl
so that a Perl program could more easily build a menu bar. In fact I am
considering a 'standard_window' type API that creates - well, a standard
window with a standard, extendible menu bar etc. A native menu-bar
facility would make this much easier.
