What manual do you have? Mine (V0.86 March 1997) says

"`def' controls which button the mouse pointer should be on:
1 for `Yes', 0 for `No' and any other value causes the form to
be shown so the mouse pointer is at the center of the form."

In other words, if you use 1 the form will be shown so that the
pointer is over the `Yes' button, if 0, it's over the `No' box.
Otherwise it's centered. Try using 42 -- it's the answer to Life, The
Universe, and Everything, you know. :-)
