All the more reason to stick to straight, unencode, unenhanced ASCII,
IMHO. The last thing we need is browser wars.

I'm running Netscape 1.1 browsers in my lab -- won't allow Java
capable browsers until I'm confident that some luser isn't going to
end up shipping my NIS directories to www.scumbag.cracker.com or
locking up one of my systems in an infinite browser spawn loop.

Ask yourself seriously, how much of your net browsing is useful to you
and your work and how much of it is so much fritter?

I shall now cease posting on this or related subjects -- I'm sure that
the balance of this list will be all the happier. It you think that
there's some constructive use to debating this issue further, private
email is preferred.
