It probably would. Are you returning control to XForms after your
activate or deactivate your form and/or object? If memory serves, all
the activate or deactivate calls do is to post a flag to the FL_FORM
or FL_OBJECT structure which is processed by the XForms event handling
down deep in its innards. If you never give control to that event
handling, the activation/deactivation will never take place.
