# To subscribers of the xforms list from Trent Piepho <xyzzy@u.washington.edu> :

I have an application that needs to use a certain colormap in one of it's
windows. So I create it and install it on that window, and the colormaps gets
installed when it gets focus and everything is as I would expect.

The problem is that when the user wants to fiddle with controls in a form, the
private colormap'd window goes all technocolor and they can't see the results
of their fiddling properly! So what I would like to do is have all the xforms
windows use the same colormap as my special window. The colormap I need to
use is a RGB color cube, so xforms should be able to get colors very close to
the ones it normally uses from it.

I can see that xforms has the ability to perform substitutions when it can't
get the colors it wants, so what I want shouldn't be too hard.
