Sorry about that, my typing error, the correct address is

The archive at the above address has the b18-patch directory and
necessary files.
The X11R6.3.readme file in the above ftp directory is well worth
reading, as
it provided most of the links and info to get me started.

Not sure what to make of that. I have mostly been using the Pexus
Server,
and do not remember using fdesign in the MicroImages Xserver. This may
be
a server problem ??? I'll see if I can get fdesign running on the
microimages
server.
