Interesting. The word "allignment" does not appear in the library
anywhere -- I did a `strings' on it and could not find the message nor
can I find a message of that form.

What version of XForms are you running? See the manual for
information on how to inquire.

You might check to make sure that you're getting the shared object
text you think you are. The include file, the library, and the shared
object library files all must match. Check your LD_LIBRARY_PATH
environment variable to make sure it points to the right place.

Can you create form with *just* a Text object in it? What happens?
Does it die, too?

I'm beginning to suspect an installation problem of some sort.
