I am convinced that there is some kind of memory bug, probably an
array bounds overwrite somewhere in xforms version 88. A week ago I
posted a bug report in which I described how button labels were not
being properly initialized in this version, whereas the button labels
were fine in version 86. I just encountered another problem with
version 88 in another of my xforms applications: The file selector
(fl_show_file_selector) will consistantly return the name of the wrong
file in one of my applications. I.e: I double click on one file name,
and another name from the same directory is selected. This behavior
has been replicated on both an i386 Linux box, and a Sun Sparc Solaris
2.6 box. Rolling back to version 86 fixes the problem.

TC: if you have a memory checker tool like Purify, I'd recommend
running V 88 through it. In the mean time, is there a newer version
than 88 that I could try?

Thanks,

Doug
