Sounds as if the server is, indeed, wedged. Killing the process
should free up the server is something did a server grab and forgot to
let go.

I agree. Even if XForms is doing something evil -- or you are, for
that matter -- the server shouldn't freeze. You let the server get
away with freezing up and the next thing you know, it'll want to show
the "Blue Screen of Death." :-)
