Thanks to Steve for the reference of dbmalloc.

I have found it with yahoo.

It seems that it becomes a commercial
product (which looks very good).
Any way the version of 1992 is public in USENET.

The README file reports to :

info@virtech.vti.com.

---------------------------------------

In the search I found too: "ccmalloc", which is a similar tool,

http://iseran.ira.uka.de/~armin/ccmalloc/

it substitutes : malloc(), free(), (c++ new, delete...) etc
by its own version, linked dynamically.

The advantage is that there is nothing to change in the code
of your program. Only the linker line should be changed to
include the ccmalloc library.

It is a "0.2.3" version, but it dates from 27 mai 98.

----------------------------------------

Other debugging tools can be found in the Software Survey
of Scientific Applications for Linux (SAL). They are not
only scientific and are not only for Linux (anyone can found
something interesting there).
Applications was classified by subject and search is really easy:

http://www-sor.inria.fr/mirrors/sal/

This is my favorite link.

----------------------------------

I'm just looking for a @#$$@## pointer bug in my program.

But with tools like those, Bug's war is not more a divinatory art.

Have a nice debugging
