Hello!
I have just compiled the demos of xforms 0.88.1 for SunOS 4.1
without complaints, but at run time I get the following error message:
ld.so: Undefined symbol: _ceil
The library libm is hopefully being linked, since -lm is present.
That's one example of the compilation and linking of one of the demo
programs, DEMO/demo
gcc -c -O -I../FORMS -Ifd demo.c
gcc -O -s demo.o -o demo -L../FORMS -lforms -lX11 -lm
I'm using the shared libraries and the result of running ldd for
DEMO/demo is
-lforms.0 => /tmp_mnt/home/snake1/prdsm2/lib//libforms.so.0.88
-lX11.4 => /usr/lib//libX11.so.4.10
-lc.1 => /usr/lib//libc.so.1.9.3
-ldl.1 => /usr/lib//libdl.so.1.0
Those are exactly the places where the libraries are, and
echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH displays
/tmp_mnt/home/snake1/prdsm2/lib/:/usr/lib/
At last, echo $LD_RUN_PATH shows
/tmp_mnt/home/snake1/prdsm2/lib/:/usr/lib/
In the archives of XForms mail list there is a message by
Colin Yuile about the same problem, with several proposals for a
solution, none of them working for me, although Veronica Sexton came
very close, I guess.
