The reason that xmodmap exists is for the user to override the
defaults assigned by the system. I'm not familiar with the window
manager in question (some deviant form of fvwm, I think -- my brain is
full of whatever is generated by the tail end of this nasty cold I've
got and I can't exactly recall) or the version of X but if it insists
upon binding the key to something stupid, then I see no reason for the
user to not be able to change it to something of their own desire.

This isn't really an XForms issue -- it's a window manager issue.
