Hello --
My program often crashes with a bus error in the internal XForms
routine do_keyboard(). The debugger says
do_keyboard(<stripped>) ["forms.c":1438]
do_interaction_step() ["forms.c":1721]
fl_treat_interaction_events(<stripped>) ["forms.c":1960]
fl_do_forms(<stripped>) ["forms.c":1991]
Unfortunately I can't make the program crash reproducibly, and I haven't had
any luck using debugging tools to look for stray pointers. But when the
program crashes, it always does so right after I start typing in an input
field in a form that's just appeared on the screen. It's not always the
same form, either -- just now it happened with the file selector. It seems
to be connected to the speed at which I start typing --- if I'm in a hurry
the program is more likely to crash.
Does the stack trace give any clues as to what might be happening?
I'm seeing this with version 0.88.1 on an SGI with IRIX 6.5.
Thanks,
Steve
