XForms: XForms n32 library for Irix + Purify

Hi everybody,

I have a problem that is probably very unique. I'm using the n32 version
of the .088 xforms library and I want to do some memory profiling with
Purify by Rational Software. However, their software seg-faults
immediately when I do an fl_initialize. This only occurs with the n32
library, not the o32. I need to use n32 because this is the only compiler
that supports use of the C++ STL.

Now, I'm attacking this at the Purify end with their tech support people.
But if they can't come up with an answer, I'd like to be able to recompile
the xforms library differently to try to solve it myself. This, of course
is impossible, since xforms source is not distributed.

So, my questions are:

1. Has anyone had this problem, and how did they solve it.
2. Is there any differently-compiled n32 precompiled xforms library I can
try?
3. Is there a way I can get the source to try to solve this on my own?

thanks in advance
