I very sorry that disturb you with my problems.
I tray to install Lyx and read in it documentation that
for compilation of Lyx I need a Xforms Library
and if I use ELF version of Xforms, i mast do
many changes by hand.
I take a.out ver 088 of Xforms tray to instal it.
Wen i do make I receive many error messages,
but because all lib's are compiled in /xforms
I do make install. All go well and I run fdesign
It is nice very very.
Then I tray to compile Lyx, it have one
install script that analyze all system find all
needed libraries and generate make file.
Bat it say me that Xforms libraries are not installed.
Bat all files that it search is in to places that it
search for.
I then go to download ELF version of Xforms,
bat its are 2 88.glibc.gz and 88.gz.
I du not know what to use and tray 88.glibc.gz.
'make' and 'make install' go well and
Lix installation procedure say that all is correct
' no matter that difference fro a.out is only in size of files'
Compilation of Lyx go well and its work.
In these moment begin the problem.
I return to fdesign 'it's very nice'
and tray to run it but receive message
bash: /usr/local/bin/fdesign - No such file or directory
but it is there. I delete it and reinstall but no difference.
fdesign is in /usr/local/bin and is not corrupted.
I start csh and tray to run fdesig but receive the
message:
csh - illegal variable name.
I take all 3 version 088 of fdesign a.out ant 2 ELF
and tray to run it without reinstalling Xforms.
No difference :-(.
My kernel is linux-2.0.34 and is compiled
with 'compile as ELF if GCC can compile ELF'
All files of Xforms are na there places
and are not corrupted. I can compile examples of
Xforms, that mey be mean that Xforms libraries
are installed.
I do not know what to do to run fdesign
and have not idea.
Do some body can help me.
