# To subscribers of the xforms list from Kristo Komsalov <kristo@cybcom.net> :

Many thanks of
Tano Fotang andT.C. Zhao :-)

I find some answers and may be and
write them. It may be will be useful for somebody.

All problems cams from 2 places:
1. fdesign do not analyze and do not give correct error message's
wen can not find some library.
2. In Slackware 3.5 'tat I use' glibc is not full installed.
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 'dynamic loader' exist. that lay more installation
procedures
that I have a full glibc. But all other lib's from glibc are not installed.
These is allow me to install 088.glibc.gz version of xforms
without error messages 'seems that xforms really not need of glibc ??
and all examples of xforms too'.
But wen I train to run fdesign its train to connect with /lib/ld-linux.so.2,
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 can not find appropriate library and return
error message.

I make full installation of glibc2 and fdesig runs without
any correction or recompilation.

It is only one correction needed:
In installation of glibc2 You can select any directory of installation
and than export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=any.directory:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
But these is not enough, fdesign search in /lib for ld-linux.so.2
no matter where point LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
I simply copy all from any.directory to /lib and do not export nothing.
And all go to work.

all work but I do not full understand how these works.
Why exist 088.glibc.gz ELF version of xforms.
Why is difference between these 2 ELF versions.
Is my compiled application will run only on ELF+glibc systems
never mind that do not use glibc in them.
In what ???? :-)

Do some body know book for download :-)

Sincerely yours Kristo
