It appears that this email for some reason was lost on the way due to
problems with my email server.
I decided to re-send it. Please, disregard if you received another copy.
Hello to everyone.
This seems to be a rather typical situation.
I use a resource file, but allow to specify almost every resource in a
command line. At the end of session I ask a question "Settings changed.
Save now?" and rewrite the resource file if the answer is positive.
Now the problem: I am looking for the simplest way to avoid asking the
question if all command line settings are identical to the initial
resource ones. This frequently happens when you retrieve a command from
history or use a shortcut. This is when the question is really annoying.
fl_initialize accepts the reference to XrmOptionDescRec array and does
all the work internally. When I started playing with that half a year
since, my fist though was not to specify XrmOptionDescRec reference for
fl_initialize, but perform merge in the application. However I could not
find a way to access the data base handler used by XForms!
Thanks in advance
Michael
