Ignore that last reply... through an editing mistake, I managed to lop off
half the poster's message containing the relevant information.
I think the problem is that the default depth is different than the depth
of the actual Canvas window. You should use fl_get_canvas_depth()
instead of DefaultDepth() to get the depth of the Canvas. XForms
tries to find the "best" visual it can, rather than the default. On
SGI systems, in particular, and on higher performance displays in
general, the best visual is often different than the default.
I shall now go write "I shall not edit off the important parts of
XForms mailing list postings before I read them thoroughly" 1000 times
on my white board.
