This is a bit complicated, since it depends upon what kind of data you have
and what the capabilities of your server are. I suggest you refer to the
O'Reilly _Xlib Programming Manual_ for details.
Alternatively, I believe I have posted some example code to this list in
the past. You might check the archives.
