    You could try it but having looked at the innards of
    flimage_display(), I don't think it will work, since flimage_display()
    queries some Window properties using XGetWindowAttributes() and I
    suspect (though I'm not absolutely certain since I haven't tested it)
    that XGetWindowAttributes() will barf if fed a Pixmap as an argument.

    Worth a try, anyhow.
