    Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 8 on a Enterprise 450 and Ultra 80,
    respectively, X11R6.3.

    If you do something like a

                    kill -ILL {pid}

    what does the traceback look like? Where are you blocking?

    It might be interesting to construct a straight X example that does
    roughly the same thing and see if that works.

    I'll try to spend some time on it over the weekend.
