XForms: Java, Swing, AWT, and all that

    This is slightly off topic but I was hoping that since folks here are
    involved in user interface development in one way or another someone
    might be able to point me at a free `fdesign'-like interface builder
    tool for Java Swing and/or AWT.

    I've looked at a couple of free packages -- Freebuilder and Forte
    (from Sun) -- but neither have the simplicity or elegance of
    `fdesign'.

    I'm definitely *not* looking for an IDE package that attempt to
    immerse me in a complete environment -- `emacs' is the One True Editor :-)
    and I don't want to waste my time struggling with some package that
    forces me to use its own editing environment.

    Feel free to reply directly to me. If there's enough response and/or
    interest, I'll summarize.
