unless you can use them as patches to some trusted set and then do the diffs
again.
I have not downloaded the tarball so I do not know what's there, and I just
noticed that the diffs were at gnu.org so you did not gen them.
any chance someone at gnu.org could be coaxed into generating the same diffs
with the options you want/need?
