[XForms] Xforms text editors

For the XFMail project we use the text editor written by Marc van Kempen,
available at:

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/archimedes/xfmail/src/editor/

It is a great editor and we've been using it for quite awhile, however it
is quite slow when viewing/editing a large email with 1,000+ lines. To
improve it we are going to have to rewrite large portions of it to reduce
the O(n) line insertion/deletion/lookup time.

I wanted to pool the xforms community to see whether there are any other
xforms text editors out there that we could look into as a replacement.
Also, assuming the author agrees to a GPL license...would the xforms
community be interested in importing this into xforms itself if it is the
best current text editor available?
