I am certain that borderless window works correctly under
Irix5.3 (and actually should work under all window managers,
and platforms). One thing you might want to check is to make sure
that you are indeed linking in V0.84. Some of the enum values might've
changed from V0.75 to V0.8x, and it is important to use
a consistent header and runtime library (I am starting to
hate shared libraries).
