I work on a Power Onyx and Power Challenges with R8Ks and IRIX 6.2. This
is where I first saw the problem. Later, I too saw the problem on the
Indigo2 Impact 10000 with R10K.

And I also have written test programs that confirm it works fine with
32-bit.

Unfortunately, I can't use the 32-bit version for my development work
because other libraries that my code requires are not available in 32-bit
(and I don't have the source code to recompile them). So switching to
32-bit is not an option for me, at least not right now, and maybe never.

About how often are new versions with bug fixes released? This should
definitely be put on the list of high priority bugs to fix. Most forms
are totally unusable in 64-bits on IRIX6.2 because of this problem.
