Hm. This is interesting. I'm seeing similar problems with OpenGL
canvases on a Sun ULTRA 60 and Enterprise 450, particularly with large
texture maps. At first I suspected their server since the Elite3D M6
framebuffer doesn't have any true texture memory (come on, Sun ... get
with the program!) and there was something funny there but lately I've
begun to suspect something in the Canvas object, such as events not
being propagated correctly.

It's one of my top of the queue items for next week.
