    I have one more advantage to add to xforms, a pretty important one I would
    think against Java ... ask yourself this why do people write code in 'C'
    as opposed to JAVA ... when u have an answer you will realize that
    it will be the same reason people will prefer using xforms.

    I work with different parallel programming models and OpenGL a lot, these
    are things which you cannot do with java, java is extremely slow, uses too
    much resources, xforms will prove much more valuable as far as GUI goes.
    The problem kind of arises when you are working on an application software
    level than more of a system level, at this point you start looking at C++
    or java and java esp. cos u just keep adding all the pre-written stuff
    right from decoding a jpeg to playing a media file. So, you have to make a
    choice based on what you want to do. Personally, for the kind of work i
    would like to do i don't think i'll ever get out of the 'C' WEDLOCK :)
